The minimum age to have a spray tan is 14, any person under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Spray Tan Preparation

It is best to ensure that you have no plans after your appointment as it is recommended to wear dark loose clothing and flip flops. This is recommended to avoid your tan rubbing off or any marks forming due to clothing that is too tight.

*Shave 24 Hours Before

Ensure any hair removal such as shaving or waxing is done at least 24 hours prior to your spray tan as this avoids any irritation and will give your skin time to repair.

*Exfoliate 24 Hours Before

The best way to exfoliate for spray tanning is to remove any dead skin cells and create a smooth, even base for the tan.

*Avoid Lotions and Perfumes

Avoid applying any moisturisers, lotions or perfumes as these products can create a barrier on the skin which can interfere with the tan and prevent it from absorbing properly.

*Wear The Right Clothing

It is recommended that you change into loose dark clothing to ensure you tan can develop evenly.

*What To Do After Your Spray Tan

While your tan is developing it is best to avoid water and sweat as these can remove the tan in certain areas. Activities such as the gym, sports or swimming should be left until you have showered.

*Shower at least 8 to 12 Hours After

It is best to leave your tan for as long as possible before you wash it off. Ideally you should leave it on for 8-12 hours as this will give the tan a chance to fully develop. When showering after your spray tan we recommend using a mild soap preferably one that is hydrating, avoid scrubbing your skin and keep the water lukewarm rather than hot.
